Planet Pals This very simple web site explains in a half a page what a food chain is. There are definitions for producer, consumer, and decomposer with a brief explanation of herbivore, carnivore, and omnivore. It also has a graphic organizer to show that energy is derived from the sun and is transferred to the producers, consumers, and decomposers.
