Registration for the 2006-2007 school year will be conducted in the elementary schools beginning February 02, 2006.

Registration Requirements:

• Children must be five years old on or before October 16, 2006.
• The school shall request that the parent or guardian enrolling a child provide the following:
  1. Certified copy of the child's birth certificate
  2. Certified copy of immunization
  3. Proof of residence in Wake County
  4. Social Security Number
• North Carolina law also requires a kindergarten health assessment before a child can enter kindergarten. The law(G. S. 130 A-440a) now allows the health assessment to occur,"...no more than 12 months prior to the date of school entry."
• A child must be presented for enrollment during the first 120 days of a school year to be entitled to initial entry into public school (G. S. 115 C-364).
