Welcome to Second Grade!

Dear Parents and Students,

Welcome to a new and exciting year at West Lake Elementary! We are looking forward to meeting you and your family very soon, and to have you become part of our class.

There is an opportunity to “Meet and Greet” your child’s new teacher and see where their classroom is on Thursday, July 6^th from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. We hope you will be able to attend.

When you come to our classroom for the first time, please bring with you the following information to help us:

1.) Lunch number if your child buys lunch

2.) Transportation arrangements for the first day of school and the days that follow if available.

3.) Emergency contact numbers

We will have a parent table set up for you to sign up for volunteer opportunities and other classroom needs so be sure to check it out when you come in!

Your child will need the following supplies for the first day of school:

1.) pencils (no mechanical pencils, please)

2.) pencil box or pouch

3.) 3 folders (plastic ones preferably)—blue, red, and yellow

4.) 1 notebook, wide ruled (1 subject only)

5.) A package of loose leaf paper (wide ruled)*

*We will use when we think students are ready.

6.) Yellow Highlighter

7.) Pencil cap erasers

8.) Glue stick

9.) Crayons

10.) Scissors

*Hand sanitizer and/or disinfectant wipes are appreciated to keep our children as germ free as possible!

*Please bring in a box of tissues with your name on it, preferably Puffs Plus with Lotion.

We would like to thank you in advance for accumulating all the supplies needed. Please remember to replace any supplies as they get used up.
