Let’s Get Organized!

Third grade is an excellent opportunity to begin basic organizational skills!  Organization is a habit that takes a lot of practice.  The following list of supplies is most helpful in  organizing students.  Please have your child’s supplies into class no later than August 6.

If you are unable to provide any of these supplies, please let us know privately.

  1. 3-ring (1.5 inch) notebook
  2. wide-ruled loose-leaf paper
  3. 3 wooden number 2 pencils
  4. plastic pencil pouch that hooks into binder
  5. colored pencils (12 pack is fine)
  6. 3 pocket folders with brads in middle for loose-leaf paper
  7. 1 divided spiral notebook (4 or 5 subjects)
  8. 24 pack of crayons, glue stick, scissors
  9. book bag  (no wheels)

Please keep the following items at home:  toys, games, calculators, pencil sharpeners, ballpoint pens, and markers.  If any of these items are mistakenly brought to school, they will become my property until the end of the quarter!

Welcome to Third Grade

Get ready for a super year!  We are going on a learning adventure!  Some things to anticipate are:

*Fun Field Trips           *Cursive Writing           *Multiplication  *Keyboarding

*Pioneer Activities        *Cultural Activities        * “And much, much more!”

We would like to get to know all of our students as soon as possible.  Each student is asked to bring in a paper bag with five items inside.  Each item should represent something about the student.  Some ideas might be a basketball to represent a favorite sport, picture of their family, stamp from a stamp collection, etc.  Fragile or valuable items are not encouraged.  Each child has been assigned a day for sharing his/her personality bag.  Your child is scheduled for ____________________________.
