To Our Students

We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you all to fourth grade! We hope you all are very excited about all of the great learning and experiences that await you in fourth grade. We are Mrs. Clavijo and Miss Holloman, and we have the privilege of being your teachers this year. Although you have been assigned to one homeroom, you will get the opportunity to be taught by both of us. We have many engaging activities and lots of learning planned for you. Fourth grade will be a very new experience for all of you. This year you can look forward to even more independence than you had in third grade. You will also be introduced to the Fourth Grade Writing Test. We look forward to working with you through all of these new experiences.

To Parents/Guardians

We would like to take a moment to welcome you all as well. You all are an integral part of the classroom, and we look forward to working with each one of you this year. Throughout the year if you all have questions and concerns, please feel free to contact us, and we will do our best to address any concerns you may have. This year we will each teach our own homerooms reading and writing, and we will teach differentiated groups in mathematics. Both of us will teach science and social studies on four week rotations. You will get more details about how this scheduling works at our Open House.

We look forward to meeting you all on “Meet the Teacher” day on July 5. Our first track-in period will be spent in the trailers, so be certain to stop by the classroom. Please be sure to provide adequate contact information when you stop by, including an email address if possible, so that we may keep in touch with you all throughout the year.
