I am excited to be a part of the fourth grade team of teachers at West Lake and I look forward to meeting all of our fourth grade families!

Pack your bags because we are off on an adventure to learn more about our great state of North Carolina and we may run into some pirates on our journey! We will learn about electricity, magnets, rocks, minerals and food science along the way. When reading we will explore expository texts and learn effective ways of reading this type of genre. We may even have some fourth graders transform into some famous people. While on our trip we will write, write, write and become fourth grade authors creating many master pieces. Multiplication facts are a must to complete our math travels through our year (keep practicing for fact power). We will learn long division and work with fractions as well as organizing and interpreting data.

We will celebrate our accomplishments while we are on our journey through fourth grade. Our trip through fourth grade will be challenging and together we can accomplish the obstacles that come along the way working as a learning community. Buckle up and get ready to work hard and let the adventure begin!!
