First Grade Supply List

2009-2010

Dear First Graders and Families,

Welcome to our class, and to first grade! We look forward to a great year. Please don’t hesitate to ask if you have any questions.

Please provide the following items for your child for the first day of school. Don’t forget to put his/her name on the supplies.

Ø Pencil Pouch (not a box)

Ø Twistable Crayons (worth the investment, I promise!~Dollar General has generic brands)

Ø 2 Large, hand-held erasers

Ø 2 wire-bound, wide-ruled notebooks

Ø 2 3–ring binders, size 1 inch (NO Trapper-keepers)

Ø 2 plastic 3-prong, 2 pocket folders

Ø Healthy Snack (every day)

Scissors, pencils, colored pencils, and glue will be provided.

Please provide at least 3 of the following items for the class, as well:

ü Extras of any items listed above

ü Tissues

ü Wet wipes

ü Ziploc baggies (gallon and quart sizes)

ü Paper plates and cups

ü Plastic spoons and forks

ü Napkins

Other items we could use:

playground balls, jump ropes, sidewalk chalk, any other outside toys

Through-out the year, we may ask for other items as they become needed.
