First Day of School:  Monday, July 7th

 

We are very excited to have your child in our class this year!  Please find below some helpful information to make the first days of school run smoothly.

 

Students may bring or buy their lunches.  School lunch costs $1.75 this year.  If you wish to send a check, please label the check with your child’s name, 1st grade, Sessoms, and their lunch number (if you know it from last year).

 

Please send a healthy snack everyday.  You may include juice or water as well. 

 

Classroom Supplies Each Child Needs:

  1. Book Bag (no wheels)
  2. $3.00 (I will be purchasing homework binders for the class)
  3. $5.00 for Scholastic News Magazine
  4. Zippered pouch (big enough for crayons, 2 pencils, 1 glue stick, eraser, and scissors)
  5. 1 composition notebook (without spirals)
  6. 1 green plastic folder with front pockets and prongs in the middle
  7. 1 blue plastic folder with front pockets and prongs in the middle
  8. 1 plain white t-shirt (in a size your child can wear throughout the year)
  9. Box of crayons (24 or less)
  10. Rectangle eraser (hand held)

(Pencils, scissors, and glue will be provided)

 

Optional Supplies to be used by class:

Kleenex, baby wipes, colored pencils, markers, gallon or sandwich size Ziploc bags, address labels 1” x 2.63”  (8.5 X 11 sheets)

 

Please label all personal items with a permanent marker (including: book bag, lunch box, jacket, etc.).
