First Day of School: Monday, July 7^th, 2008

We are very excited to have your child in our class this year! We are the “fabulous Fish” class, and we are looking forward to a “swimmingly” great year!

Students may bring or buy their lunches. School lunch costs $1.75. If you wish to send a check, please label the check with your child’s name, 1^st grade, Janik, and their lunch number.

We will have an individual snack everyday. Please have your child place their snack in a separate bag. We do not want them to accidentally eat their snack for lunch! Nutritional snacks are best! You may include juice or water as well.

Classroom Supplies Each Child Needs:

1. Book Bag

2. 1 composition notebook (not spiral)

3. 1 blue plastic pocket folder, 1 green plastic pocket folder

4. $5.00 for Scholastic News Magazine (Checks payable to WLE)

5. 1 zipper pouch pencil bag (no boxes please!)

6. 1 box of crayons

7. 1 box of Ziploc baggies (gallon or sandwich)

8. 1 package of plastic page protectors

9. 3 sharpened No. 2 pencils

10. 1 large pink eraser

Optional Supplies Needed by the Whole Class:

Markers Small Dixie cups Plastic Spoons/Forks

Baby wipes Erasers Paper plates/Napkins

Please label all personal items with a permanent marker (including: book bag, lunch box, jacket, etc.)
