First Grade Supply List

2008-2009

Dear First Graders and Families,

Welcome to our class, and to first grade! We look forward to a great year.

Please provide your child with a healthy snack every day.

We will begin our year in Room 304.

Please provide the following items for your child for the first day of school. Don’t forget to put his/her name on the supplies.

Ø Pencil Pouch (not a box)

Ø Twistable Crayons (worth the investment, I promise! (Dollar General has generic brands)

Ø Large, hand-held erasers

Ø 2 wire-bound, wide-ruled notebooks

Ø 2 3–ring binders, size 1 inch (NO Trapper-keepers)

Ø 1 plastic 3-prong, 2 pocket folder

Please provide at least two of the following items for the class, as well:

ü Extras of any items listed above

ü Color printer paper

ü Card stock

ü Tissues

ü Wet wipes

ü Ziploc baggies (gallon and quart sizes)

ü Craft supplies like glitter, multi-colored pipe cleaners, wiggly eyes

ü Paper plates and cups

ü Plastic spoons and forks

ü Napkins

Scissors, pencils, colored pencils, and glue are provided.

If for any reason you are unable to provide the requested items for your child, please let me know ASAP and I will do my best to provide them for you.
